The rise of fingeritis

With the trend for mobile telephone manufacturers to implement touch screens (myself included as an owner). I'm beginning to wonder if in years to come we will due to natural selection end up with crab like hands?

Our four fingers will fuse into one, our thumb will remain as it is except it will become flatter to enable quick touch typing.

Of course before natural selection get in full swing. No doubt the boffins at all the mobile phone manufacturers will have moved on to some other new fangled way of using our mobiles.

On a serious note, I think some self control and restraint is in order, before we all end up with RSI of our thumbs!
