Bankers and bonuses

The current economic climate is not forgiving to bankers or the financial industry, and rightly so.

But what I find difficult is the incessant criticism regarding bankers and their bonuses. For me its crystal clear. The bonus or specifically its payment is dependent upon clauses. These clauses are usually performance related (personal and company).

Taking all that into account, the assumption that all the bankers are somehow milking it while everyone else is struggling is a misnomer.

A sense of perspective is needed. It really does seem that media in getting all high and mighty, along with the politicians throwing in their two pence worth are diverting away from the real issues.
