I want one (a.k.a greed is good!)

With pay day round the corner, I thought I'd treat myself. After all I've worked damn hard! This is what I tell myself as I procrastinate over whether I should take the plunge and get myself a Nintendo DS Lite.

So what's the problem????
The problem is I already own a Nintendo DS.

What's difficult, is trying to justify whether I really, really, truly need the "Lite" version. In essence this "upgrade" by Nintendo is purely for aesthetic reasons. Not, because Nintendo have added new features nor because it has better graphics and sound hardware (however you could place the argument that the reduction of the overall size of the DS and the increase in battery life are new features). Nope, nothing like that. Plain and simple, I want one, because it looks so cool.

Without a doubt this is an example of a consumer who quite clearly has far more disposable cash than common sense. Greed has overridden my logic centres and I find myself compelled to fill Nintendo's coffers. Damn it!

Or as Phineaus Taylor Barnum said, “There's a sucker born every minute”.
