Frak me! Just a day after I go on about how the transfer of Carrick will go some way to filling in the vacuum that is the United midfield, then he gets injured playing in the final of the Amsterdam Tournament. I am not a happy bunny...
On a lighter note, managed to catch the movie 'Miami Vice'. I was a bit apprehensive about seeing this, considering how mixed the reviews were. Well, happily for me I wasn't disappointed. The movie met and exceeded every expectation that I had. Michael Mann is without doubt THE doyen of crime thrillers. Make no mistake, this movie is astonishing.
Don't get me wrong, the film is not going to win any awards for it's convoluted plot. However the setup, the cinematography (if you liked 'Collateral' you'll definitely be blown away), and the acting were all top-notch. If you're still wondering whether you should go and see it, all I can say is ignore the negative reviews and go in with an open mind. You will not be disappointed.
