Football, get a frakking move on!

The English Championship starts today, and it's got me champing at the bit for the "proper" footy to start. No disrespect to the fans of clubs from the lower divisions, but the thought of seeing Hull City play Stoke DOES NOT get my pulse racing. With the Premiership still almost 2 weeks away, its going to be a pretty frustrating wait!!!

I have to say as a Man United fan, I feel a lot more optimistic going into this season than previous seasons. So what's brought on this optimism? For a start, United have actually bought a decent midfielder - Carrick. I'm not saying he is THE answer that United have been looking, however its definitely the first steps in the right direction. It's quite clear Fergie's decided that if he is going to have a say in where the title is going to end up , he has to strengthen the midfield.

I hope that the rumors that are circulating do eventually bear fruit (Senna will do fine for starters!). I seriously think, that with a partnership of either Senna, Carrick/Scholes ( I don't think Fergie has any intention of playing all three at once, too many changes to the formation!), United will be close, v close to Chelsea.
