Before I start, I would like to make it clear that this blogspace is in no way affliated nor endorsed by Lynne Truss, the author of "Eats shoots and leaves". I am guilty as charged of committing plagarism. Due to the lack of any creative ability, I spared my brain cells the effort of trying to come up with something unique.. So I "borrowed" the title you see above.. (The next part is for any eager lawyers out there) Please note I am very poor, so take this into account before you sue!

Bloody Palestinians - "You ever heard of divide and rule?"
I heard this situation described very aptly in a Friday sermon: if you cage animals and throw them scraps, they'll turn on each other to get them. I don't think you can blame them for what has happened here- with a rational eye on the outside we see it for what it is- self defeating self interest. But it's becoming a cause for some of us to say "if they can't help themselves, why should we help them". The reality I think is that this is evidence simply of how much more they need us to do something about the root cause of the problem- the fact they're imprisoned and caged and not allowed to move. We pity battery hens for the appalling conditions they're in and don't mind paying more to alleviate their suffering. What about battery humans?
