I'm going LOCOROCO

No, I'm not going mad! But I'll tell you what though, I've just bought the game "Locoroco" for my PSP and I can't stop playing it. In fact, I load the game up just to hear the weird sound effects. The game is really simple to play. Forget the storyline about the "Locorocos" going about their business on their planet, and while taking a nap the "Moja" troops invade from outer space. Instead enjoy a gem of a game.

You use the shoulders buttons on your PSP to control the planet, using the "L" and "R" to tilt in the respective direction. The game is played over a number of different stages, with you manipulating the land so can collect the missing Locorocos. And that's it!

It doesn't sound like much, but the game's graphics are lovely to behold. Really crisp and bright colours. Two words, eye candy. They're not snazzy in the sense say "Grand Theft Auto: Liberty City", in fact you wouldn't think the graphics would look out of place on a DS (no disrespect to that fine machine!). Instead they serve perfectly to illustrate how graphics should be in a game.

I mentioned the sound effects earlier, and it really is an aural treat (well for me anyway!). Lots of cutesy jingles and spot effects, and at certain points during the game after you've completed a task you're treated to a lovely aural experience.

Anyway, I'm going to go back to my PSP for another go on "Locoroco"...
