Marching on and on!

No prizes for guessing what the topic of this post will be on :) Manchester United have continued to impress with their strident performances. The midweek win over Charlton was justifiably lauded by the press. United played some lovely football, and the 3-0 scoreline was if anything flattering towards the Addicks, with Manchester United hitting the woodwork on three occasions. I think what's pleasing me more than anything about United this season, is the way we have (thus far!) played football. Some of it reminiscent of the swash buckling manner in which United played during the treble winning season (1998-1999 season).

Today (26.08.06), United were visitors to Watford at Vicarage Lane. While winning 1-2, United were not as fluent as they have been in the previous two games. I guess the main thing was the win; I'd rather the team played poorly and sneak a win (as the cliche goes, a mark of a championship winning team is to win games where the performance hasn't been so good). So with the international break coming up, United have secured maximum points.. the season certainly has started just as well as I could have ever hoped.
