Ok, not quite what T-800 uttered! However with Ramadhan out of the way, and life slowly returning back to normal, i can now spend some time updating my blog. To be fair, i did state way back, that this more a labour of love and that i couldn't quite possibly guarantee regular updates...
Anyway enough of the excuses. Football wise, it's been great. As a United fan i don't think i could have asked for the run of results to be any better (Southend result in the Carling Cup aside!). We've beaten Wigan, Liverpool, Bolton, Portsmouth and Blackburn. To be fair to Chelsea, even though they lost against Tottenham, the bastards are still on our tails. It's increasingly looking like the game against the Rent boys on the 26th Nov will be important (understated to say the least!).
Other than football... I've managed to squeeze in a couple of movies, all bar one have been disappointing. For those of you who haven't seen "Borat" - i urge you to do so. If you're in need of a laugh it's the best medicine.
There's been a lot of internet buzz surrounding "The Host", a South Korean movie. I saw this expecting quite a lot. The reviews all were raving about the cleverness of mixing more than one genre.
Unfortunately, i came away feeling dissatisfied. The movie was good in places, and in fact the different genres all individual held up remarkably well. The problem for me was the constant change in emotion, from sheer horror and suspense to all out slapstick comedy. It was also a drama, the main lead, a loser in life and work who is forced to come of age as searches for his daughter taken away by the mutated creature.
On reflection, this would probably be a decent DVD movie as opposed to the big screen... that's all for now folk!

Football- as I've said- it's all about the head-to-heads. And I have to say- I reckon Chelski would have the measure of Man U 4 times out of 5...
Borat- I can't believe you paid to see such nonsense.
mario- I can't get through the world 8 castle.... GRRRRR
